(ShareCast News) - The Restaurant Group announced the appointment of Kirk Davis as Chief Financial Officer on Friday before the market open.
Davis arrives having spent the previous three years in the same position for fellow FTSE 250-listed firm Greene King.

The executive will take over the role as of February next year, with the firm's share price having risen over 9% in the year-to-date.

Davis has also spent time as a financial director with pub chain JD Wetherspoon, as well as Tesco and Marks & Spencer.

The Restaurant Group CEO Andy McCue said he was looking forward to welcoming Davis to the company, which owns brands such as Frankie & Benny's and Chiquito.

"Kirk's proven skill-set and highly relevant experience position him ideally for the CFO role at The Restaurant Group. I very much look forward to welcoming Kirk to the business and to working with him," McCue said.
