Death of John Potter, Chief Executive Officer
TomCo Energy plc (AIM: TOM), the US operating oil development group focused on using innovative technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, announces with deep shock and sadness the sudden death of John Potter, Chief Executive Officer.
John, who was 54, passed away suddenly on Friday 24 May 2024. John joined TomCo as Chief Executive Officer in February 2018 and was the driving force behind the Company and its plans for Greenfield Energy LLC.
The Company's Non-executive Directors, Malcolm Groat, Louis Castro and Zac Phillips, will take interim responsibility for the Company's operations. Further announcements will be made in due course, as appropriate.
Malcom Groat, TomCo's Chairman, said: "All of us in and around TomCo, all who knew John, are deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden death. His hard work, dedication and good humour will be sorely missed. Our job, collectively, is to fulfil John's plans for TomCo.
"John leaves behind many friends and a beloved family and our thoughts are particularly with his wife, Lorraine, and his daughter, Amy. We extend our deepest sympathies to them."
