Transaction in own shares

 

Whitbread PLC (Whitbread) announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 76 122/153 pence each through J.P. Morgan Securities plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Whitbread on 16 October 2024, as announced on 16 October 2024.

Whitbread intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Since 16 October 2024, Whitbread has purchased 2,077,224 shares at a cost (including dealing and associated costs) of £65,200,858.11.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 12,454,718 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 177,366,675 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

 

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Whitbread will be 177,366,675 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator when determining whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Whitbread under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
