AB Dynamics adds Klaus Weimart to management team

Advanced testing systems designer and manufacturer AB Dynamics announced on Thursday that it has appointed Klaus Weimart to the board as operations director.

The AIM-traded firm said Weimart will join the firm in October, bringing 30 years of automotive test experience with him.

It said he was previously employed at CORRSYS-DATRON, a Kistler company, where he was managing director of international operations and also vice-president of North American operations.

Weimart also served as CEO and president of CORRSYS-DATRON’s China office and managed sales and technical support for its interests in Asia and India.

As part of its stated global commercial strategy, AB Dynamics said Weimart will be based in Germany to strengthen the company’s connections with the country’s car industry, as well as focusing on the Asia region.

"We are extremely pleased to have attracted a person of Klaus's calibre and experience to the company,” said managing director Tim Rogers.

“Having worked with us on many projects, Klaus is as well known to ABD as he is to the wider automotive industry and he is already familiar to our customers and current distribution partners worldwide.

“Heading up the commercial team in the UK, Klaus will lead on developing broader collaborations in the automotive industry and will work to raise ABD's profile within the automation testing industry,” Rogers added.
