Air Partner said in a pre-close statement that trading in the first half has been strong, and that it is optimistic about the company's prospects for the full year.

It said first-half underlying pre-tax profit was seen at not less than £3.0m, from £2.2m a year ago. The company enjoyed a strong net cash position.

"Our Broking division, comprising Air Partner in Charter Broking and Cabot Aviation in Remarketing, has seen a strong like-for-like performance during the first half," said Air Partner in the statement.

"Our Training & Consultancy division, Baines Simmons, has started the year well winning a number of new commercial and government contracts."

Air Partner said, in line with its growth strategy, that it continued to assess opportunities for investment, both organic and through acquisitions.

It expected these to enhance or extend the services and capabilities it could provide to clients across the world.

Air Partner is a global aviation services group that provides worldwide solutions to industry, commerce, governments and private individuals.
