Altona Energy expands scope of survey to surrounding tenements
AIM-quoted coal explorer Altona Energy issued an update regarding its flagship Arckaringa project in South Australia on Thursday.
Following discussions with its mining consultants, WSP Australia, Altona decided to extend the scope of the report undertaken by Runge Pincock Minarco (RPM) to include potentially prospective areas within the firm's Wintinna and Murloocoppie tenements.
Altona intended to use data returned from the report to identify further suitable "drier/less wet" sites for coal mining development which was set to become the group's focus across its subsequent stages of exploration.
Nick Lyth, chief executive officer of Altona, said, "having been appointed CEO I have reviewed our arrangements with WSP and, having consulted with the board, we have agreed to extend the scope of the report to include new areas of interest."
"When this report is available I intend to visit Adelaide to map out Altona’s exploration plan for 2018," he added.
