Amerisur Resources' shares fall after production update

Shares in Amerisur Resources are down more than 2% as it said total production during February was 119,334 barrels of oil, with average daily production at 4262 barrels per day (BOPD).

The South America-focused oil and gas producer added that peak daily output was 4337 BOPD.

Referring to OBA Export, Amerisur said total export volume during February was 99,503 barrels of oil, with average daily throughput at 3554 BOP and peak daily throughput of 4011 BOPD.

"Since 1 March OBA export volumes have averaged 4,113 BOPD, reflecting growing efficiency within the transport system," the company said in a statement.

It was continuing with the negotiation of the construction of the re-pumping station Chiritza with Petroamazonas EP and the engineering studies of the Victor Hugo Ruales export system and other downstream opportunities, aimed at enhancing throughput capacity.

At 10:25 GMT, shares in Amerisur were down 2.25% to 21.75p each.
