Amino Technologies' end-to-end multiscreen video platform has been selected by Dutch cable operator Kabelnoord for the rollout of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network.

Kabelnoord provides fibre based services to 30,000 customers and has secured a contract to provide FTTH to a further 20,000 homes.

With the use of Amino’s MOVE video platform, Kabelnoord will also deploy its TV services to an adjacent broadband network operator in Groningen where 15,000 homes will have the opportunity to benefit from an advanced TV experience including catch-up, network PVR and multiscreen delivery.

Anton van der Hoek, chief technology officer at Kabelnoord, said: "This is a significant expansion of both the reach of our offering and the range of exciting new TV experiences we can offer both existing and new customers. We have been impressed by Amino's innovative MOVE platform and the strength of the team who have worked closely with us."

The Amino end-to-end platform deployed by Kabelnoord will include transcoding, web services and a new user interface, all powered by the Amino Enable software stack, Android and IOS.

Donald McGarva, chief executive of AIM-quoted Amino, said: "Kabelnoord is a real innovator and we're very pleased to partner with them on this exciting rollout of new TV everywhere services across their expanding fibre deployments. MOVE's proven operator performance makes it the ideal platform for operators looking to maximise their network investment and attract new customers with new services."
