Amur Minerals moving rapidly at Kun-Manie

Amur Minerals' programme to rapidly advance its Kun-Manie nickel copper sulphide project in Russia was moving quickly on Thursday, with the company updating the market on its 2016 Field Programme.

The AIM-traded firm said capital purchases and delivery of its newly acquired fleet components to the Verkhnezeisk base station was its first step in aggressively moving towards the completion of its Definitive Feasibility Study.

Amur said it had doubled its seasonal drill meterage to 15,000 metres, with support equipment for drill road building and pad preparation being included.

The decision to increase its drilling capacity was a result of the award of the Detailed Exploration and Production Licence in mid-2015, following which Amur made a decision to aggressively advance towards the completion of a DFS.

"We have made significant progress in the build up to the 2016 field programme, and geared up for the implementation of data acquisition and development of our Kun-Manie nickel copper sulphide project", said CEO Robin Young.

"Our decision to double our drilling and earth moving abilities demonstrates our confidence, and we fully intend to advance to the Definitive Feasibility Study as rapidly as possible", he added.
