Artemis unveils high-grade sampling results from Thorpe Prospect
Updated : 10:14
Artemis Resources announced high-grade gold and copper assay results from rock chip sampling at its Thorpe Prospect on Thursday, part of the 100%-owned Karratha Gold Project in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
The AIM-traded firm said sampling highlighted the expanding potential of the surface gold footprint within the Carlow tenement.
Key assay results included grades of up to 45.8 grams of gold per tonne, 10.3% copper, and 69.4 grams of silver per tonne from rock chip samples across two structures at Thorpe.
Notable findings included 45.8 grams of gold per tonne, 3.7% copper, 38.6 grams of silver per tonne from sample 24AR22-020.
Sample 24AR22-014 meanwhile showed 12 grams of gold per tonne, 1.1% copper and 3.7 grams of silver per tonne, while sample 24AR22-013 returned 10.3% copper, 0.4 grams of gold per tonne and 69.4 grams of silver per tonne.
The board said the results supported the company’s exploration strategy to map outcropping mineralised veins and structures while identifying additional high-priority targets for drilling.
Artemis said it was employing advanced geochemical and geophysical techniques, alongside structural interpretations, to refine targets within a highly prospective and underexplored structural corridor.
It was planning to start drill testing priority targets, focusing on areas exhibiting high-grade gold, copper, and silver veins at surface.
“We are very excited that prospects located on the Carlow tenement continue to deliver further high-grade gold, copper and silver results from extensive veins at surface,” said executive director George Ventouras.
“While several of these prospects have had minor drilling programs, the exploration team continues to compile data to identify the source of the widespread gold discovered at surface.
“Combined with the Titan prospect and other targets in the immediate Carlow area, the future looks very bright for the Karratha Gold Project.”
At 1014 GMT, shares in Artemis Resources were up 10.48% at 0.58p.
