Atalaya files technical report for Proyecto Masa Valverde
Updated : 15:00
Atalaya Mining announced the filing of a technical report for its wholly-owned Proyecto Masa Valverde (PMV) on Friday.
The AIM-traded firm said the report supported the increased mineral resource estimate it announced on 5 April.
It said PMV is located in the Iberian Pyrite Belt of southern Spain, about 28 kilometres to the south of Atalaya's processing plant at Proyecto Riotinto.
“PMV consists of two mineralisation zones, Masa Valverde and Majadales, which are one kilometre apart,” the board said in its statement.
“As previously announced, the mineral resource estimate represented a significant increase in tonnage and contained copper, silver and gold versus the prior estimate, with increases of 42%, 33%, 26% and 34%, respectively.”
At 1442 BST, shares in Atalaya Mining were down 0.14% at 365p.
