Griffin Mining announced the resignation of Shengchang Jin from his position as a director of Hebei Hua Ao Mining (HHA), an operating subsidiary owned 88.8% by the company, on Friday.

The AIM-traded firm said that effective 7 January, a termination agreement had been formalised, signifying the cessation of Jin's involvement with HHA in any capacity.

Regarding Jin's potential legal actions in the People's Republic of China concerning his role as chief executive officer of Zhangjiakou Yuanrun Enterprise Management Consulting Service, a minority 11.2% shareholder in HHA, Griffin said it had remained uninformed since its announcement on 15 December.

It reiterated that ongoing investigations solely concerned Jin and did not implicate HHA's operations or relevant statutory licences granted by the government.

At 0915 GMT, shares in Griffin Mining were down 0.56% at 96.46p.
