The mineral project development company, Bushveld Minerals, said it had completed the review of previous mineral resource estimates for Bushveld Vametco Alloys Limited's primary vanadium mine in Northwest Province, South Africa, as well as reserve declarations.

During the process, Bushveld confirmed that revised mineral resource and ore reserve numbers more accurately reflected actual grades achieved at Vametco Mine, and that total reported mineral resource tonnages for all three magnetite seams had increased slightly from 138.62Mt to 142.4Mt.

Completion of the review came followed the acquisition of an 26% stake in the Vametco vanadium mine in April 2017, where Bushveld said its geologists were working alongside the Vametco Mine's management to identify improvement opportunities at the mine, specifically aiming at enhancing grade control to ensure higher head grades, and consequentially greater vanadium throughputs into the vanadium processing plant.
