Infection prevention and control group Byotrol has continued to experience "exceptional demand" for its technology across all markets due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Byotrol said on Monday this trend was expected to continue until "at least the first quarter of 2021" and that it now anticipates benefiting "significantly" from a secular shift towards infection prevention, cleanliness and hygiene.

The AIM-listed group said it had entered the year with a strong order book and stated there were also many additional orders still being assessed for deliverability due to supply chain constraints stemming from the pandemic.

Chief executive David Traynor said: "We continue to operate at full capacity, making and selling as much product as we can as quickly as we can in these difficult times.

"Our technologies are getting interest from all over the world now. We are increasingly well-positioned for further growth post-Covid-19 and are enthused and optimistic about the opportunities ahead."

Byotrol anticipated revenues for the year to March 31 to come to around £6m, while adjusted underlying earnings were pegged to be roughly £250,000.

As of 0900 BST, Byotrol shares were down 0.42% at 5.90p.
