Billing, charging and customer relationship management software solutions provider Cerillion announced that it won a major new contract with an initial value of €2.4m with a wholesale telecoms operator in Europe.

The AIM-traded firm said the contract, secured after a competitive tender process, was for the supply of the company's enterprise CRM and billing solution and the ongoing provision of a managed service to operate it.

Cerillion said it expected the contract implementation to be completed over the next nine to 12 months.

The new contract would help to underpin existing market expectations for the financial year.

Following this contract win, the company said it achieved new sales in the current financial year with a value of £13.2m, all with varying implementation periods.

“I am delighted to announce this major contract win in Europe for our core Enterprise BSS/OSS solution,” said chief executive Louis Hall.

“We believe that our new customer will be a key player in the evolution of its market and look forward to supporting this process.

“Our pre-integrated billing platform will provide a wholesale billing solution that will eventually serve multiple communications service providers.”
