Circle Holdings sells Manchester land for £9m

AIM-listed healthcare provider Circle Holdings has sold land in Manchester to the Department for Communities and Local Government for £9.1m.

The proceeds of the £9.1m plus VAT will be used as working capital and to fund future growth opportunities.

The Manchester land had a book value of £5m at the end of last June.

Circle Holdings, a employee c-owned firm, has NHS and independent healthcare operations including two independent hospitals, CircleBath and CircleReading and the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre. The company also manages Bedfordshire's integrated musculoskeletal service on behalf of local commissioners.

Shares in Circle Holdings were up 5.56% to 23.75p at 0817 GMT.
