Cohort subsidiary wins GBP3m support services contract

Defence technology group Cohort said its subsidiary MASS has been awarded a contract to provide electronic warfare operational support services to an export customer with a total value in excess of £3m.
Cohort said the work will begin immediately and will contribute to the company’s revenue in the current year and beyond.
Chief executive Andrew Thomis said: “The award of this contract further highlights that MASS's specialist skills are in demand to our global customers. It reinforces MASS's reputation as the UK's leading provider of independent EW operational support services."
In addition, Cohort said it has received a request from the Portuguese authorities to extend the deadline for completion of the acquisition of EID, announced in early August.
Cohort said it has been informed that this is due to resource issues in the department responsible for reviewing the transaction.
Subject to reaching agreement with the sellers on the terms of the extension, it now expects the deal to complete by mid-December this year.
At 1155 BST, Cohort shares were up 0.2% at 377.80p.
