Concurrent releases new multi-channel gigabit ethernet board
High-end embedded computer boards specialist Concurrent Technologies announced a further addition to its range of VPX I/O boards on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said the BA 2TR/502 is a multi-channel gigabit ethernet board, providing a convenient method of introducing up to four additional fast networking interfaces within a system.
It said the board could be used alongside its range of high performance processors, and was available in variants suitable for both commercial and harsh environments.
The BA 2TR/502 was particularly suitable for the growing number of command, control, communicate and compute applications in the military and aerospace markets, the board explained, where additional networking capability is often required.
“This I/O board further increases our range of I/O products,” said Concurrent CEO Glen Fawcett.
“It complements the existing range of VPX hardware, firmware and software products and is designed to ease our customers' integration tasks and reduce their development times.”
