Corero client GTT launches DDoS mitigation service

Corero Network Security updated the market on its recent Tier 1 internet service provider customer win on Monday, confirming that its customer - GTT Communications - had now launched its DDoS mitigation service.

The AIM-traded firm said the new service utilised Corero's ‘SmartWall Threat Defense System’ as the platform for the service, protecting organisations from malicious internet traffic and ensuring the continuity and security of their business operations.

It described GTT as a “leading global cloud networking provider” to multinational clients.

GTT's Tier 1 IP network, ranked in the top five worldwide, connected clients to any location in the world and any application in the cloud, Corero explained.

“This announcement is timely, given the extremely volatile cyber threat landscape we are facing today,” said Corero CEO Ashley Stephenson.

“As organisations look to re-evaluate their cyber defense strategy, and map their defenses to the needs of their business, access to real-time, automated DDoS protection from Internet service providers will be critical.”
