Defenx appoints BV-Tech CEO as interim chairman in wide-ranging changes

Defenx on Wednesday announced a slew of changes to its board including the appointment of BV-Tech founder and chief executive Raffaele Boccardo to the role interim executive deputy chairman.
The AIM-traded security software company said Boccardo, who was previously the company’s non-executive deputy chairman, will support interim executive chairman Anthony Reeves in progressing business and operations, as well as finalising the appointment of a permanent chief executive.
Clive Eplett has been appointed interim chief financial officer, assuming responsibility for the group's finance function, after the board resignation of Phillip Prince came into effect on 30 June.
Unlike Prince, Eplett has not been appointed to the board at the current time and will focus on the finalisation of the company's annual report for the year ended 31 December and the transition towards the appointment of a full time chief financial officer.
A statement from Defenx said: “Clive Eplett is a chartered accountant of 30 years' standing, having qualified with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. He has extensive experience working with AIM quoted companies and has, for the last 15 years, worked as a portfolio and interim Finance Director for small and growing businesses with a specialist interest in IT companies.”
In a final board change, Defenx said Leonard Seelig has resigned from the board with immediate effect and will have a successor appointed shortly.
As of 1215 BST, Defenx’s shares were up 4.00% at 13.00p.
