FireAngel scores supply contract with Scottish housing association
Home safety outfit FireAngel has inked an agreement to supply smoke and heat alarms to Scotland's North View Housing Association.
FireAngel will supply the Glasgow-based firm with its wireless interlinked battery-powered smoke and heat alarms across approximately 700 properties.
The AIM-listed group said the contract marked just the latest in a series of related wins, following the requirement, from 1 February 2019, for greater safety standards as part of the Scottish Housing Act. The changes require all homes to have interlinked smoke alarms fitted in the living room or lounge and in circulation spaces such as hallways, landings and kitchens.
Chief executive Neil Smith said: "We are delighted to see further traction across Scottish housing associations following the recent new legislation.
"Today's contract win with NVHA follows on from recent agreements with a number of other housing associations across Scotland, further demonstrating the requirement and demand for our compliant and interlinked products and further endorsing our strategy in this area."
As of 0910 GMT, FireAngel shares had picked up 2.08% to 24.50p.
