Forbidden Technologies announced an agreement with IP-based digital content solutions provider F2 Technologies on Tuesday, to act as a value-added reseller for Forbidden's Forscene cloud video platform in Canada.

The AIM-traded firm said it expected that F2, with its focus on the media and entertainment sector, will “significantly add” to Forbidden's sales capacity in Canada and provide “strong” local servicing capabilities.

“F2 Technologies is well positioned to assist companies in Canada's media and entertainment industry to transition from traditional proprietary high-priced infrastructures to today's IP-based solutions,” said F2’s CEO Barry Fairhurst.

“F2 Technologies sees the media, entertainment and audio-visual industry's move to a fully IP-based infrastructure as the next unstoppable trend.”

Fairhurst said his company was “delighted” to represent the Forscene platform in Canada, and was positioning the Forscene product as a cornerstone solution in its software portfolio.

“With media companies increasingly building new capabilities involving the cloud, we see Forscene as being critical to these workflow requirements.”

Forbidden Technologies chairman David Main said they were also “delighted” to be working with F2 Technologies in Canada.

“They are a strong, experienced group with the ability to represent us across all the key media sectors.

“They combine significant sales, implementation and customer service capabilities, which are essential in our market.”
