Gordon Dadds acquires Gibraltar-based law firm

Legal and professional services outfit Gordon Dadds has acquired Gibraltar-based law firm Rampart Corporate Advisors on Monday.

Gordon Dadds snapped up the legal services business, which specialises in e-gaming, financial services and fintech, distributed ledger technology and cryptocurrency matters, for a performance-related consideration of up to £1.34m payable quarterly over three years - starting with an initial payment of £342,000.

Following the acquisition, Gordon Dadds now operates a total of thirteen offices across eight countries and territories, receiving annual revenues of somewhere in the vicinity of £100m.

Chief executive Adrian Biles said: "We are delighted to announce this acquisition which marks a further expansion of Ince Gordon Dadds geographically and in the services we can offer our clients, particularly with Ramparts' specialism in e-gaming, fintech, DLT and cryptocurrency, all growth areas of law."

In the year ended 30 June 2018, Ramparts reported pre-tax profits of roughly £400,000 on turnover of just above £1.1m.

As of 0840 BST, Gordon Dadds shares had inched ahead 0.37% to 135.50p.
