GoTech disposes of Sportsdata for one pound

AIM-listed cash shell GoTech announced the disposal of Sportsdata on Tuesday after its core focus had pivoted throughout the year towards a digital, physical literacy assesment programme for the UK school market.

It was hoped by the GoTech that a significant increase in turnover would materialise at Sportsdata during the year ended 30 September 2017, resulting in it finally becoming profitable but, disappointingly, the growth in turnover was not forthcoming - leading to the board's decision to let go off the unit.

GoTech disposed of Sportsdata, and its outstanding debt, to Starnevesse for £1.

As of 0950 GMT, shares had dived 16.88% to 0.32p.
