Oil and gas producer Hurricane Energy said on Thursday provided an update on activities at its Lancaster field off the west coast of Shetland.

Hurricane said Lancaster had produced 258,000 barrels of oil during July at an average oil rate of 8,324 barrels of oil per day. In June, oil production stood at 256,000 barrels.

The AIM-listed group said the 30th cargo of Lancaster oil was lifted on 24 July, totalling 534,000 barrels at a price of $111 per barrel and resulting in net revenues of $60.0m.

Hurricane added that it will carry out its planned annual shut down in September, with the next cargo lift expected to take place in October.

As of 1040 BST, Hurricane Energy shares were up 1.29% at 7.87p.
