Immotion Group on Friday secured an agreement with game developer Survios that will see the studio's hit interactive virtual reality game Raw Data installed into Immotion's new VR Arena product.

The three-year partnership deal sees Raw Data offered as a multi-player VR arena version for the very first time in the 'out of home' market, though the science fiction-themed first-person shooter was initially released in July 2016 and became the first consumer VR game to reach $1m in monthly sales.

Four players will be able to play and compete with one another in-game when they step into Immotion's 4mx4m Arena experience enclosure after the project launches in early July.

Martin Higginson, chief executive of Immotion, said: "We have been working on our VR Arena for some months, and to have exclusivity on such an iconic game as 'Raw Data' is a major coup for Immotion, further underpinning our position as global leaders in the 'out of home' VR market. We continue to focus on growing our partnership model with high footfall edutainment and leisure partners."

Higginson added that the AIM traded company would be announcing partnerships with major destinations for the launch of its VR Arena in the coming weeks.

Immotion Group's shares were up 4.58% at 11.08p at 0912 BST.
