Impellam Group announced on Thursday that non-executive director Derek O'Neill has informed the board of his intention to step down from his role with immediate effect.

O’Neill has been with the company for three years and was appointed to the non-executive director role after Impellam’s acquisition of technology recruitment firm Lorien Group.

His decision follows the successful integration of Lorien into Impellam Group.

AIM-traded firm Impellam is the UK’s second biggest recruitment & managed services provider and operates under a number of brands including Bartech, Guidant Group and Medacs Global Group.

Aside from his work at Impellam and Lorien, O’Neill is chairman at AIM traded firm Marlowe plc, a B2B critical asset maintenance business and formerly held group finance director roles at Admiral Homes Limited, NWP Spectrum Limited and Deltron Electronics plc.

As of 1641 BST, Impellam Group’s shares were down 2.55% at 536.00p.
