Strategic infrastructure projects developer Infrastrata tapped Clive Richardson to take over as chairman on Friday, with effect from 1 February 2020.

The AIM-listed group said Richardson, the former chief executive of ship management services firm V Group, had a "very impressive" resume and "a demonstrable track record" of adding "serious value" to businesses.

Infrastrata also stated that Richardson's "wealth of experience and global network" would be invaluable as the firm continues to focus on delivering significant contracts for its newly acquired Harland & Wolff assets and advancing its Islandmagee gas storage project in Northern Ireland.

Chief executive John Wood said: "We look forward to 2020, which is set to be characterised by exciting new revenue opportunities and progression of our energy infrastructure portfolio, and I am confident that Clive will play a key role in our future success."

As of 0835 GMT, Infrastrata shares were up 1.61%% at 0.32p.
