InfraStrata strikes deal to work on Costain's Islandmagee project
Gas storage company InfraStrata has entered into a contract with Costain to carry out the surface element of the front-end engineering design for the Islandmagee gas storage project, it announced on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said work by Costain was set to start imminently, enabling InfraStrata to carry out the surface element of the programme in the current year and within the rules and timescales of the EU funding grant.
It said a contractor for the subsurface elements of the programme had been identified, with the company planning to conclude that contract shortly.
“We are delighted to confirm that we have now signed this key contract with Costain, who have been immensely supportive in helping us to reach this significant milestone in the development of the salt cavern gas storage facility in Islandmagee, Northern Ireland,” said InfraStrata CEO Adrian Pocock.
