Inspiration Healthcare showcases at MEDICA trade fair

Inspiration Healthcare group, an AIM listed global medical device company, has announced that two of its new products will be showcased for the first time at MEDICA, the world’s leading trade fair for the medical industry in Düsseldorf between 14-17 November 2016.

The two products are Inspire rPAP a unique resuscitation and stabilisation system and an enhanced version of the LifeStart neonatal resuscitation unit.

Chief executive Neil Campbell said: “MEDICA gives us a great opportunity to introduce these new products and also promote Inspiration Healthcare as one of the leading players in the supply of innovative medical technology for critical care, operating theatre and other niche applications.”

Inspire rPAP is the first medical device which has been entirely developed in-house by the company. It consists of an rPAP Generator and a newly introduced rPAP Driver unit which regulates air flow and pressure entering into the rPAP Generator resuscitation device. The system was extremely well received when it was first introduced to a selection of the company’s European distributors in September 2016. The company expects sales of the product to grow across all major European markets and abroad.

LifeStart which combines resuscitation and patient warming with the capability to clamp the cord at the optimal time, and now includes the ability to secure air and oxygen bottles and a sterile drape for use in theatre. Both products together will help deliver the best possible outcome for newborn babies.

“The combination of the Inspire rPAP with the LifeStart presents a unique and effective method of resuscitating and stabilising newborn babies with the potential to keep the umbilical cord intact,” said Campbell.

The share price rose 1.64% to 62p at 1017 GMT on Monday.
