Healthcare company Integumen has signed a three-year supply agreement with South Korean distributor Mono Dent for its oral hygiene products for an undisclosed sum.

This supply contract is Integumen’s first in Asia and will establish an additional income stream from the new market.

Mono Dent will distribute a disposable tongue vacuum cleaner, a tongue gel, and a handle which turns the tongue vacuum cleaner into a tongue scraper under the TSpro brand, which was marketed under the original brand, TS1, in South Korea.

The AIM-listed company said that opening orders have been received for the TS1 products and Mono Dent has committed to a sales and marketing strategy for TS1.

It said that South Korea has about 20,000 dental surgeries and is a growing market driven by medical tourism and cosmetic dental surgery.

Integumen chief executive Declan Service said: "TS1 is already being sold in parts of Europe and the Middle East and this agreement further validates this innovative product and our ability to enter new markets. We are actively seeking to launch TS1 in other markets, as we focus on growing our revenues for our commercialised products."

Shares in Integumen were down 2.71% to 3.77p at 0926 BST.
