Identity, credential management and security technology company Intercede announced a follow-on purchase order of $2.8m on Tuesday.

The AIM-traded firm said the order was further to the contract win it announced on 30 July, and the receipt of an initial progress order as announced on 20 August.

It said the order included software licences and associated development, professional services and support and maintenance - the majority of which would be recognised in the current financial year ending 31 March.

“As previously announced, the new contract win follows Intercede's involvement in a successful bid to create an innovative ‘Identity Management System’ (IDMS) solution compliant with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 [and] US federal government standard FIPS 201 for the US Department of State and its customers,” the board said in its statement.

It added that the contract was included within the directors' expectations for the current financial year.

At 1455 GMT, shares in Intercede Group were down 5.03% at 85p.
