Learning Technologies completes £305m acquisition of GP Strategies

Digital learning and talent management software company Learning Technologies Group announced the successful acquisition of GP Strategies on Friday.

The AIM-traded firm said the combined business would generate pro-forma revenue of about £500m, and provide LTG with an “enhanced global footprint” of more than 5,000 employees in over 80 countries.

“LTG has a strong track record of successfully integrating acquisitions and has identified significant margin enhancement and cross-sell opportunities,” the board said in its statement.

“LTG expects the transaction to be significantly earnings per share accretive from 2022.”

The company said the transaction was financed by an £85m share placing and $305m of debt financing, both completed in mid-July.

At 1419 BST, shares in Learning Technologies Group were down 0.1% at 202.2p.
