LPA Group secures three new rail contracts

LED lighting and electro-mechanical system manufacturer LPA Group has been awarded new contract wins for both the UK and export rail markets.

Totaling £3.3m, LPA said the individual awards to the rail sector included electro-mechanical assemblies into the UK, an LED lighting contract for the Australian rail market and an electro-mechanical jumper order for the UK rail market.

Production against the contracts was anticipated to commence in 2020, with the majority of output expected through 2021.

Chief executive Paul Curtis said: "These three awards, from three separate customers, continue to grow our order book and underpin sales through the coming periods, whilst reinforcing that rail projects continue in these uncertain times. We continue to look ahead with cautious optimism."

As of 0915 BST, LPA shares were up 8.20% at 69.25p.
