Educational services provider Malvern International announced its strategic plan for 2017 on Monday, with a focus on “strengthening the current operation” while planning for the future.

The AIM-traded company said work was underway to improve and expand both the delivery and range of products and services offered by the group.

“At the same time measures are being taken to improve the company's administrative procedures and processes to ensure that it has a robust system that goes beyond the various regulatory compliance requirements and that can support the future growth of the business efficiently and productively,” its board said in a statement.

Malvern's flagship programmes such as English language, professional training and IT and technology would remain the main focus for 2017, the board explained, though it would also seek to expand into new geographic and customer markets.

“The intention is to deploy initiatives to broaden and diversify Malvern's supply base.

“Malvern is working on a number of exciting new programmes and education related products to be offered at both domestic and international level.”

It said recognising the significant impact of IT and technology on education, the board was planning to facilitate learning and improve performance by adopting the latest educational technology including online training and mobile learning.

“To support these initiatives Malvern will roll out a global brand campaign which is aimed at improving the awareness of Malvern's products and services, its distinguishing attributes and features as well as its achievements.

“By the end of the year and in preparation for 2017, new websites for the different campuses will be launched.”

The marketing of the group was changing, it reported, and a strong international marketing team wass being assembled.

“This team will include a marketing manager in each region who will market the group's international offering to existing and potential international partners and customers.”

Malvern said it intended to play an important role in helping the business community to achieve its broader social as well as economic goals through the provision of its educational products and services.

“In addition, [we are] the process of establishing … community support schemes in the countries that Malvern operates.”
