Marlowe investors were gathering in London on Wednesday for the company’s annual general meeting, with interim chairman Derek O’Neill reassuring them over their recent acquisitions.

“Trading in the current financial year has been in line with expectations and the integration of our recently-acquired businesses continues to proceed to plan,” O’Neill said.

“We continue to seek opportunities to add scale to our platform for growth in fire protection, security systems and water treatment services and we look forward to delivering a strong performance in our first full year of trading as a group.”

At the same time, Marlowe’s board confirmed that Derek O'Neill, who has been interim chairman since admission, has been appointed permanent chairman.

It said O#Neill will have continued oversight of the company's financial strategy until a chief financial officer is appointed.
