Water and wastewater treatment technology and water quality monitoring systems provider Modern Water announced on Tuesday that, in keeping with its stated strategy to focus on increasing global sales of its environmental monitoring products - especially in China - its monitoring division appointed Mark Gogol as its vice-president of global sales and Jincan Wang as sales manager in China.

The AIM-traded firm said Gogol brought 20 years of experience with him, and previously held key senior sales and sales management positions at prominent filtration and water treatment companies, such Filtration Group, Mahle, Pall Corporation and USF Filtration and Separations Group.

Gogol earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a master's degree in business administration from Loyola University in Baltimore, the board reported.

He was based at Modern Water's offices in Delaware.

Wang had more than ten years of experience as sales manager for various international environmental product manufacturers, increasing their sales in the growing Chinese market for environmental monitoring equipment, and held a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and technology.

He would be based in Modern Water's Shanghai office.

“These key appointments build on the excellent work that the president of the monitoring division, Doug Workman, has already done since he was appointed to the post a year ago,” said CEO Simon Humphrey.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark and Jincan to the company,” Workman himself said.

“Their experience and track record in sales will further strengthen our sales team in our core markets.”
