SolGold was brimming with confidence in its Cascabel exploration on Wednesday, returning final assay results from hole 14 at the Alpala Central deposit.

The AIM-traded company said the results were from hole 14, which tested eastern extensions of the Alpala Central deposit.

It returned 768 metres at 0.5% copper and 0.45 grams of gold per tonne. That included 476 metres at 0.63% copper and 0.65 grams of gold per tonne, and 222 metres at 0.83% copper and 1.08 grams of gold per tonne.

SolGold said the intersections achieved in hole 14 increased the average width of the Alpala Central Deposit to 300 metres, and showed the deposit continued to remain open to the east and north east.

Results were still due from hole 15R2, and the company was in the process of drilling hole 16, and planning hole 17.

SolGold’s board confirmed the Alpala Central deposit now extended more than 450 metres in length, 300 metres in width and 700 metres vertically.
