MTI Wireless Edge launches Canada subsidiary for Mottech

Communication and radiofrequency technology company MTI Wireless Edge announced on Friday that Mottech Water Solutions is opening a new office in Alberta, Canada.

The AIM-traded firm said Mottech, its subsidiary in the wireless irrigation control sector, had also registered a wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary.

“Canada has been an important part of our business for many years,” said MTI chief executive officer Moni Borovitz.

“In the past we supported this market via our local value added reseller, however, he recently decided to retire which has led to our decision to open our own branch.

“This will enable us to maintain a high level of sales and technical support direct to our existing Canadian customers.”

At 1613 GMT, shares in MTI Wireless Edge were down 0.62% at 80p.
