MTI Wireless Edge wins $0.6m prototype antenna contract
Communication and radiofrequency technology company MTI Wireless Edge announced on Thursday that its antenna division has won a contract worth about $0.6m, from a local customer in Israel.
The AIM-traded firm said the contract would see the development and delivery of several prototype antennas for defence use, to be supplied in the next 12 months.
If the prototypes met the “specialist” performance criteria, then there was the potential for further larger-scale orders.
“We have been tendering for this contract confident in the knowledge that we have the technical capabilities to develop the antennas to the performance specifications required,” said chief executive officer Moni Borovitz.
“It is a collaborative process as we work with the client to test the prototypes and there is the potential for this to evolve into a significant long-term order.”
At 1057 BST, shares in MTI Wireless Edge were down 0.97% at 47.04p.
