MySQUAR confirms more than 6m registered user

MySQUAR said registered users across all apps and games exceeded six million at October 14, from five million at the end of 2016.

It added that a new, more sophisticated version of MyCHAT was expected to be released in the fourth quarter of calendar 2016. It would contain more features to appeal to users and more analytics to appeal to advertisers.

MySQUAR said that following the very encouraging success of game launches so far, it was adopting a more aggressive plan and aiming to release at least two new games in the fourth quarter.

Shares in the Myanmar-language social media, entertainment and payments platform were up 10% to 4.12p at 11:00 BST.
