Mytrah Energy appoints new chief financial and executive officers

Mytrah Energy, an India based renewable power producer, has announced that it has appointed two new chief financial and executive officers.

The company promoted its current CFO Vikram Kailas to CEO, effective immediately. Kailas will also continue his role as vice chairman and managing director of a subsidiary of the company, Mytrah energy private limited (MEIPL). He is replacing Ravi Kailas who will continue his role as chairman of (MEL).

Mytrah Energy (India) Pvt Ltd has the largest wind data bank in India. It is the only independent power producer that has over 200 wind masts across the country. Aside from wind power the company is also continuing to develop solar pipelines.

Shirish Navlekar will replace Vikram Kailas as CFO as well as continue his existing role as CFO and joint managing director of MEIPL.

Chairman of MEL Ravi Kailas said: "I am delighted to announce the appointments of Vikram Kailas and Shirish Navlekar as Mytrah Energy Limited's new CEO and CFO respectively. The combination of their past experience and successful tenure at Mytrah make them ideal to lead the company forward."

Share price rose 2.67% to 57.75p at 1520 BST on Tuesday.
