Gaming technology firm Nektan is to launch a California-based casino operator’s real money in-venue mobile game to the US market, for an undisclosed fee.

Respin Games, Nektan's US subsidiary, has signed its first major contract with a US casino and will launch Rapid Games, the casino gaming industry's only in-resort mobile platform that has been independently certified class two - a Protected Tribal Gaming Category.

Tribal gaming in North America is worth over a $30bn in annual revenue, according to the National Indian Gaming Commission in June 2015.

Rapid Games is also completing third party certification in the coming weeks to offer class three games with machine count tracking technology to manage numbers of games in-play.

The AIM-listed company said that Respin recently completed the integration of Spin Games’ class three remote gaming system.

Respin chief executive Daniel DeWaal said: "It's fantastic to see our platform hit the ground with such a prestigious US casino partner, which helps to give confidence to so many other interested parties in the US that Rapid Games is clearly the way to attract millennial players and increase wider player engagement across the casino property."

Shares in Nektan were up 10.32% to 17.10p at 1208 GMT.
