New CEO joins Brooks MacDonald Group

Brooks MacDonald Group’s new chief executive Caroline Connellan has started her tenure at the wealth management firm on Tuesday.

Chris Macdonald has also become the AIM-listed company’s new deputy chairman, subject to regulatory approval.

Connellan, who has over 20 years' experience in financial services, was previously head of UK premier and wealth at HSBC and has worked at Standard Life, McKinsey and Newton Investment Management.

She said: "I am inheriting a strong legacy and this, combined with the strength of our adviser relationships, positions the Group well for the future.

"As we build on this strong foundation and enter the next phase of growth, I will be looking for further opportunities to develop our business. My focus will be on enhancing our offering and service levels, developing the efficiency of the business, and continuing to adapt to the fast changing competitive and regulatory landscape.”
