New Insig AI commercial chief Colm McVeigh appointed to board
Insig AI announced on Friday that its chief commercial officer Colm McVeigh has been appointed to its board of directors.
The AIM-traded firm said McVeigh previously held senior commercial roles in the software and telecoms sectors, with a “strong” track record of driving growth and business transformation.
From 2016 until September this year, he was the chief commercial officer of mobile cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) joint venture BT One Phone.
He led that venture’s commercial turnaround, which resulted in a high multiple EBITDA minority interest sale valued at £320m.
Colm McVeigh spent more than 10 years at BT, having been part of its core BT Business due diligence team for the group's acquisition of EE, before leading the commercial Integration of EE into BT Business.
Prior to BT, McVeigh spent seven years at Vodafone Group, initially as enterprise director and later as global director of mobile-to-mobile smart services, where he established the ‘internet of things’ (IoT) as a global business model.
Before that, he held senior commercial roles at business software giant Oracle Corporation.
“Colm has made an immediate and positive impact in spearheading our commercial strategy,” said chief executive officer Steve Cracknell.
“We are delighted with the progress he is already making.”
