Ortac Resources' shares rise as it lifts investment in Casa Mining

Shares in exploration and mine development company Ortac Resources are up almost 8% after it lifted its investment in Casa Mining to 21.71%.

It acquired 69,444 shares through a private placement at $0.72 a share, taking the company's total stake to 1.56m shares.

CEO Vassilios Carellas said the recently announced placing covered Casa's short-term working capital requirements and will enable it to complete an updated resource statement at its Akyanga project.

At 10:13 GMT, shares in AIM-quoted Ortac were up 7.41% to 0.03p each.
