Support service provider Pennant International Group’s contract with Public Services and Procurement Canada has been amended, adding £2.3m (CA$3.8m) in value to the deal.

Pennant Canada’s contract for its OmegaPS software to be used throughout the Canadian Department National Defence, which runs to September 2018, will now allow for additional services to "be called upon as and when required by the customer".

The increased funding will impact the AIM-listed company in 2018 and increases its order book by in excess of £2.0m.

Chief executive Philip Walker said: "This increase in the contract ceiling serves as an important step in ensuring that the Department of National Defence derives maximum benefit from the use of the OmegaPS software suite."

Shares in Pennant International Group were up 1.71% to 89p at 0946 GMT.
