Premier African Minerals discovers new pegmatites zones
Premier African Minerals, the mining exploration and production company, announced the discovery of six new pegmatites zones at its Zulu Lithium and Tantalum project, while simultaneously completing another eleven mineralised drill holes.
According to the group the new zones were discovered by a concerted field reconnaissance programme focused on the eastern part of the 3.5km2 license area at Zulu.
The company also reported the completion of another 11 drill holes since the conclusion of its initial drilling programme.
All of them had intersected mineralisation with the best having 10 metres true width 10m with high grade petalite and spodumene mineralisation.
The AIM-listed company was now studying further exploration efforts on the new zones in order to establish their continuation and depth extensions.
Premier boss George Roach said the new discoveries marked another milestone in the process of exploring what the company believed was one of the richest hard rock lithium exploration projects.
"These new discoveries when looked at in the context of the already very substantial maiden resource estimate and exploration target in the main zone, are just another step in the process of exploring what we believe to be one of the best hard rock lithium exploration projects today".
