Premier African Minerals drilling supports Zulu exploration target
Drilling by Premier African Minerals at its Zulu lithium and tantalum project in Zimbabwe found "good" continuity of minerals to confirm its internal exploration target of 60-80m tonnes for the zone.
The drilling programme, the company reported on Monday, confirmed continuity in the main zone as well as identifying additional targets such as massive pegmatites comprised of visually high grade lithium mineralisation intersected in the new south-eastern zone.
Assay results were being received and any significant intersections would be published in the near future, the company said.
Premier African had in June declared a maiden mineral resource estimate at Zulu of 20.1m tonnes grading 1.06% lithium oxide including 7m tonnes grading 1.5% lithium oxide, and an exploration target of 60-80m tonnes.
