MOD Resources and Metal Tiger expressed their joint pleasure to the market on Friday, posting encouraging results from the drilling project at their 70-30 joint venture in the Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana.

The natural resources companies said the style of copper mineralisation found in the drilling at T4 was similar to the MOD Mahumo and Cupric Canyon copper deposits. It was still awaiting drill assay results from T3.

Metal Tiger’s board said the assay results from T4 confirmed encouraging copper and silver intersections in five holes, with the highlight intersection being two metres at 6.12$ copper and 111 grams of silver per tonne, from 101 metres to 103 metres.

Drilling was resuming on Friday following the Easter break, and there were two rigs currently on site. It was reported that the RC drill rig would continue to test for strike extensions to the copper mineralisation already drilled along the perceived axis of the T3 dome structure.

Metal Tiger is traded on London's AIM market, while MOD Resources is listed on the ASX in Sydney.
